House concerts on hold
Supervisors table zoning ordinance for further review
The Butte County Board of Supervisors voted to table a house-concerts zoning ordinance at their Tuesday meeting (Dec. 6) until further research is done. David and Kerry Eldridge, owners of the Birdhouse in Forest Ranch, had hoped it would be approved so they could resume holding performances in their home. Neighbors complained of excess traffic and danger on their private, mountainous roads. Both sides’ arguments were outlined in last week’s Newsline “Couple work to keep house concerts alive.”
