Hot and happy
The end of May spells “Summer Guide” here at the Chico News & Review, and if we were a typical (read: cynical) alternative weekly we would guide you the hell out of town before it gets any hotter.
But since we are not cynical and actually enjoy summer, we offer this guide to making the most of your summer here in the Northstate. Chico is quite survivable and a pretty darned nice place to be in the summer months. So here we present a few ideas and suggestions to help you make the most of your Chico summer.
And as you read this, you can probably feel how the town feels a bit roomier, a bit more comfortable with the recent mass exodus of students: less traffic, shorter lines, more parking spaces, quieter nights.
