Take a ride through CN&R’s Bike Issue
Chico is an arts town, a college town, and more than ever it’s a bike town. The CN&R has taken notice of locals’ love affair with these eco-friendly rides, whether they’re valued as transportation, sport or hobby. And every year we keep our eyes on the vast changes occurring within the bicycling community. We’ve got a lot to share in our third annual Bike Issue, including first-person offerings from car-less CN&R staffer Christine G.K. LaPado on the joys of riding (see page 24) and Editor Robert Speer’s adventure navigating Chico’s new north-south bike corridor (see Newslines, page 8). There’s plenty more sprinkled throughout the issue, too. On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Chico Wildflower Century Ride, enjoy!
