Hilderbrand moves on
Chico Peace and Justice Center director stepping down
The Chico Peace and Justice Center recently put out the word that it is seeking applications for the position of director, to replace outgoing Director Sue Hilderbrand (pictured), who in May is stepping down after four years.
The 42-year-old Hilderbrand—a longtime political activist—led the CPJC during her tenure to become a “much more solid organization,” as she put it recently, in terms of building up a “really good database to enable us to quickly reach people for such things as fundraising or getting out the vote.”
Hilderbrand—who also hosts KZFR’s current-affairs show The Point Is—is unsure about her next move but said she’s certain it will involve political activism in the media.
Application deadline is March 15. Contact the CPJC at 893-9078 for more info.
