Greenfeet launches campaign to aid the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation
A locally owned online green-focused retailer is teaming up with suppliers to help buoy a relocation fund of the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation. Greenfeet.com President Valerie Reddemann recently launched a campaign called Operation GreenPaw to help raise funds for the wildlife sanctuary’s upcoming move from Durham to Butte Valley. Make a donation $5 to the cause (at www.greenfeet.com/greenpaws), and in turn receive discounts from several Butte County-based companies, such as Lyon Books and California Organic Flowers. All of the proceeds go directly to the Kirshner Foundation to help provide a home for the many exotic animals, including a white Bengal tiger named Chuffy (pictured). The October deadline for the nonprofit’s move is closing in, so the public’s help is more important than ever before. For more info about the Kirshner Foundation, go to www.kirshner.org.
