Greenfeet guru honored

Local businesswoman Valerie Reddemann, president and founder of Greenfeet.com, was named entrepreneur of the year by the Chico Chamber of Commerce last week at the Women’s Achievement Awards luncheon.

The honor comes about eight years after Reddemann relocated to the community from Los Angeles, where a few years earlier she began a modest aromatherapy business.

Coming up on a dozen years in operation, Reddemann has transformed her business into “the planet’s homestore,” selling a large array of eco-friendly products that help customers lessen their environmental footprints.

Reddemann also co-hosts a podcast with popular radio DJ Dori McKay at Greenfeet.com called More Hip Than Hippie, in which the women discuss new products and other sustainable-living information and interview environmental advocates, including actor Ed Begley Jr.
