Gore scores, again
Accolades keep rolling on in for environmental champion and former Vice President Al Gore.
The Dan David Foundation, an Israeli fund, recently awarded the 59-year-old with a $1 million prize for his efforts to shed light on the ecological crisis stemming from the use of fossil fuels.
Last year, Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth earned him the Nobel Prize, an honor he shared with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Gore pledged to donate 10 percent of the money to young researchers and the Alliance for Climate Protection, which is the same organization he vowed would benefit from half of his Noble earnings.
