Festival season
A guide to Nor Cal’s 2010 spring and summer music festivals
starting Memorial Day weekend … right? Let’s hope so, because from Yosemite to San Francisco, there are a lot of promoters crossing their fingers for sunny weekends.
It is festival season. And if you’ve ever wanted to hit more than one fest during a summer, this year there are three taking place in June that are almost in our own backyard. In addition to Bobolink again happening up in Belden (59 miles northeast of here), there are two more fests calling that tiny town (population 25) home during June. Two weeks after Bobolink is the extended DJ dance party The Big Bounce, and one week after that is the debut of the Sustenance World Music Fest, a music/art/craft collaboration raising money to benefit the Africana Village of Peace Project.
