Fairyland for Flying Bugs

Bidwell Park is home to a multitude of creatures spanning the breadth of the animal kingdom, including insects. Some of the most fascinating are the dragonflies and damselflies living along Big Chico Creek, which also happen to be the top-rung predators of the park’s insect population. Kids can learn all about the whimsical world of these fascinating flying bugs and their lives in the water, on land and in the air with the Damsels and Dragons Park Tour at the Chico Creek Nature Center this Saturday, Aug. 16, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Participation costs $5-$10.
