Fair trade is fun!

These colorfully costumed Valentine’s Day “cupids” were on hand Saturday (Feb. 14) as part of a celebration of Chico’s being designated an official “Fair Trade Town” held at the “Art Hands” statue next to City Hall. They are, left to right: Jenevieve Lyons, Lisa Sun and Amber Mullins. At the event, Chico Mayor Ann Schwab cut a big red ribbon and gave a short speech, and Jim Henson, who led the Chico Peace and Justice Center’s campaign to establish Chico as a Fair Trade Town, spoke about the designation’s benefits.
