Faces from the ancient gallery …
Local artist Elizabeth Newman Kuiper unveils her latest, eponymous show in Trinity Hall 100, on the CSUC campus. Gleaning such diverse elements as leaves, flowers, thrift shop objects, bits of frames, maps, puzzles and more, Newman Kuiper seeks to recreate a dream experience in, as she puts it, "a static, pictorial way." You can view her wondrous assemblages of "cultural artifacts" beginning Wednesday, Jan. 9. The show continues through Friday, Jan. 31, with an artist’s reception occurring on Thursday, Jan. 24 in the gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. Regular hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
