Enloe sticks with Wiltermood
Interim CEO gets the job for keeps
Enloe Medical Center’s Board of Trustees needed just three months to find a new top administrator. That’s because they didn’t have to look very far. Mike Wiltermood, the chief operating officer who in March took over as chief executive officer on an interim basis, got approval Monday night (June 22) to stay on as president/CEO effective July 1.
Last week, Enloe gathered employee opinions on Wiltermood (pictured). Positive response from those sessions, along with feedback the board received from members of the medical staff and community, factored into the decision. No other candidate was considered.
Matt Jackson, who chairs the Enloe board, called Wiltermood “a leader who has the best interests of the hospital and Chico at heart. He also is a seasoned administrator who is well-prepared to lead Enloe through the challenges that are at hand for health care.”
