Enloe entities snag awards
Compassion and kindness pay off
Two Enloe Medical Center employees and the hospital’s helicopter-emergency program were honored recently for the extra time and care they give in their jobs on a regular basis, according to a press release.
Paramedic Christopher Aicega, cardiologist Marcia Moore and FlightCare won the hospital’s fourth annual Spirit of Planetree Awards, which recognize programs and services that personalize and demystify the hospital and health-care experience for patients and families. Enloe employees and volunteers made the nominations, and the final recipients were selected by a special Planetree Award team.
Aicega was honored for his ability to stay calm during emotionally charged situations, and Moore was credited for promoting heart health in the community by organizing screenings, lectures and more. FlightCare, the only hospital-owned and -operated medical-helicopter program in the state, was recognized for its quick response time and compassion. The awards were presented during the hospital’s Caregivers Week in mid-May.
