Enloe doc honored

Dr. David Potter, an Enloe Medical Center hematologist/oncologist, has received the Enloe Physician Legacy Award, which recognizes a staff member each year for “exceptional service, leadership and performance in medicine and the community.”

Potter, an Enloe staff member since 1981, was honored at a general medical-staff meeting for physicians on Dec. 18, according to an Enloe press release. Aside from being a member of the hematology/oncology physician group at the Enloe Regional Cancer Center, Potter has served as medical director of Enloe Hospice since 2010 and was previously Enloe’s chief of staff.

The selection process is handled by the Medical Executive Committee, which considers nominations from doctors on staff, other Enloe employees, volunteers and community members.
