Find earth-friendly recipes in the Big Green Cookbook
Sure, we already know that eating fruits and veggies is easier on the planet than eating meats. Now, a new cookbook with plant-based fare will help food lovers whip up tasty eats while reducing their carbon footprints.
The Big Green Cookbook is not only filled with 200 recipes for delicious earth-friendly fare, but also contains tips and hints to reduce kitchen energy consumption; a guide to seasonal produce; and nutritional info for each recipe. The book is even printed with soy ink on 100 percent post-consumer waste paper.
The book is written by Jackie Newgent, a registered dietician, who has compiled a climate-conscious cookbook with beautiful photos that’s great for beginning and experienced cooks. Bon appetit!
