Drive safely in Upper Park
City cautions drivers on recently reopened Upper Park Road

Recently repaired sections of Upper Park Road (which suffered damage during December rains) reopened as of April 23. Accordingly, the city of Chico Park Division sent out an advisory press release on April 22. Drivers should note that some sections of the unpaved road—particularly between Day Camp and Bear Hole—are wide enough for only one car at a time, and are urged to stay under the speed limit of 15 mph to safely navigate the road and accommodate pedestrians and cyclists. Upper Park Road past the Diversion Dam gates will remain closed until further repairs are made. Call 896-7800 for more info.
