Just what is Merry-Standish Comedy? It’s difficult to pinpoint this mercurial duo’s category—it’s fine at its art, but not fine art; possessed of body and soul, yet not necessarily healthy; musical yet not music-centered; and community-minded if not particularly community-oriented. Broadly speaking, Liz Merry and Aaron Standish form a team that mercilessly lampoons local and national events, institutions and individuals to the delighted edification of all who attend its satire-charged shows. Pictured are Aaron, Liz, and their comedy-crazed accomplice John Bertoli, left-to-right.
