CSUC prof gets Brown nod
Local educator appointed to state Commission on Aging
Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed Chico State professor Jean Schuldberg to the California Commission on Aging.
According to a press release from Brown’s office, Schuldberg, 57, has taught in various departments at Chico State since 1989. She is co-director for the Chico State Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education and coordinates the California Social Work Education Center Mental Health Stipend Program at Chico State’s School of Social Work.
Schuldberg has a doctorate in international and multicultural education from the University of San Francisco and a master’s degree in social work from Indiana University. The position offers no compensation and the appointment does not require Senate confirmation. Brown noted that Schuldberg is a Democrat.
