Chico State B.F.A. graduate and current gallery director for the 1078 Gallery Jason Adkins presents a show of new works entitled Paint. (Pictured is a detail of the oil on canvas piece, “Boxers.") Of the artistic process, Adkins writes, “It is important that the work somehow thrill me. I am happiest when the paint becomes gluttonous and narcissistic.” Adkins’ show opens Tuesday, July 2, at the Humanities Gallery in Trinity Hall, on the CSUC campus. A closing reception for the artist occurs 5 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 29. Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 to 11 a.m. on Friday.
