Use your imagination to get the little ones eating healthfully

Sometimes it takes imagination to get the little ones to go for nutritious options, such as fruits and veggies. Here are some easy-to-prepare eats that are fun and healthful:
Smoothies: Blend fat-free or low-fat yogurt or milk with crushed ice and fruits such as bananas, peaches and pineapple.
Dippers: Serve broccoli and other raw veggies with dippin’ sauce made from yogurt seasoned with garlic, dill, or other herbs.
Decorate: Create a “butterfly” by attaching thinly sliced apple wings onto a carrot or celery body, and decorate further with halved grapes or dried fruit.
