Man, 20, injured in the Avenues over the weekend
A 20-year-old man was shot Saturday night (Feb. 15) after a large fight at a house party in the Avenues, according to a Chico Police Department a news release.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area of West Second Avenue and Warner Street shortly after midnight. Though partygoers denied hearing shots, the victim arrived at Enloe Medical Center’s emergency room 10 minutes later with gunshot wounds and indicated he’d been shot outside the site of the party.
Police did not identify the victim, a Chico resident whose wounds were not considered life-threatening, and continue to seek information on the fight and shooting.
