Chew your heart out
Parents everywhere will be thrilled to know Revolymer, a UK company affiliated with the University of Bristol, has developed an eco-friendly chewing gum it claims can be easily removed from shoes, clothes, pavement and yes, even hair.
The company has completed trials with its Clean Gum, having tested the product on pavement along with other brands of gum. While leading commercial gums stuck to surfaces three out of four times, the company claims, Revolymer gum came up in all trials.
According to the gum-maker, the new product is formulated with a special polymer that makes it less adhesive than other varieties. Additionally, the gum is said to degrade naturally in water.
Clean Gum is scheduled to hit the market next year.
