Ever wanted to get together with a group of environmentally minded community members but didn’t feel up to organizing a soiree yourself? Luckily for you, a couple of Chico real estate agents are making things easy for locals to meet, mix, mingle and talk all things sustainable in a low-key environment.

EcoBrokers Scott Wolf and Shari Dixon of Keller Williams Realty have organized Green Drinks in Chico. Join them—without any pressure—during their first GD meet-up at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Holiday Inn’s On the Rocks Lounge.

“With such a vibrant sustainability community, I’m often amazed by who’s never met whom, even though they may be working in very complementary businesses or on similar issues,” Wolf said. “Green Drinks is ‘networking’ Chico-style; you can leave the tie at home.”

Green Drinks (www.greendrinks.org) is an international concept first organized 20 years ago in a North London pub. Today, the concept is active in 448 cities spanning the globe—and Chico is one of the latest.
