Catalyst Blitz Build This article was published on 01.21.10 Dignitaries such as Supervisor Jane Dolan, Chico Mayor Ann Schwab and California State University Trustee Bob Linscheid joined a crew from the university’s Construction Management program and volunteers from local building companies Saturday morning (Jan. 16) to erect two transitional-living housing units next door to the new Catalyst shelter on Ivy Street. The project, called the Catalyst Blitz Build because it took only one week to complete, is a partnership between the city, the university and Catalyst. It continues a winter-break community-service effort that has included rebuilding homes in post-Katrina New Orleans and constructing sheds for fire victims in Concow.Photo By Robert speer More Local Stories » News Pic My, what big teeth Gateway Science Museum is home to a saber-tooth cat model.
