Burning Monkeys …
Hot, trans-musical genre jam band the Fire Monkeys stage a “re-onion” gig, Thursday night, March 6, at Stormy’s Off-Broadway in downtown Chico. After recently hearing an old tape of the band live in concert, this writer was left impressed by Sid, John, Sam and Zach's blazing musicianship and breakneck stops and starts when in jam mode. The group’s style seems to defy most classifications, suggesting rock, jazz, bluegrass and more, practically simultaneously. Don’t miss them! Stormy’s, (530) 891-5065.
