Breast cancer from cell phones?
The risk comes from storing the phone in your bra
You’ve probably heard of the brain-tumor risks associated with cell-phone radiation among people who use their mobiles often, but have you heard about the risk of breast cancer? Turns out a lot of women like to keep their phones tucked in their bras. It’s handy when they’re jogging, driving or shopping, and when the phone starts vibrating, they can’t miss it. But it’s also potentially dangerous: The phone’s microwave radiation seeps directly into the soft fatty tissue of the breast. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which means it’s a good time to remember that cell phones should be held away from the head as much as possible—by at least an inch—when being used, and stored away from the body otherwise.
