Booze discussion postponed
IAC meeting rescheduled for Sept. 11
The Chico City Council Internal Affairs Committee meeting scheduled for Aug. 14—where the discussion of proposed new alcohol-license conditions was slated to continue—has been postponed.
At the last IAC meeting, on July 30, Chico Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Katie Simmons was charged with assembling a group of stakeholders affected by the issue. The license-conditions discussion will be overseen by an outside consultant, City Clerk Deborah Presson said.
The next IAC meeting is scheduled for Sept. 11, but a special session could be called earlier if the consultant is available, Presson said.
