Two Chico State students arrested for cocaine sales
Two local college students are among three people busted by the Chico Police Department last week for possession of cocaine with the intent to sell the drug.
CPD’s Street Crimes unit arrested Aaron Thomas Miller and Evan David Tolleson, both 19 years old and Chico State students, during a warrant search of a residence on Ivy Street, in the heart of the south-campus student neighborhood, on Saturday (March 27).
Officers located 37 grams of cocaine and a small amount of prescription painkillers at the residence. “It’s about a $3,000 street value,” Chico police Sgt. Rob Merrifield told the CN&R. “It’s not a huge drug bust, but it’s pretty significant.” Tolleson was also found in possession of a hypodermic needle without a permit.
A day earlier, in an unrelated search, police arrested Jerome Antoine Martin for similar charges. The 31-year-old was found with 11 grams of cocaine at a residence on East Fifth Avenue.
