The Blue Room Theatre, located above Collier Hardware in downtown Chico, at 139 West First St., returns again to the isolated west country of County Galway in Ireland with a production of playwright Martin McDonagh‘s The Lonesome West. The story follows the Cain-and-Abel-like battles of two brothers, Coleman and Valene, a young priest—Father Welsh—who attempts to reconcile the brothers, and a flirtatious young parishioner—Girleen—who finds herself in love with Welsh. Caught clobbering each other are (top to bottom) Betsy Brewer as Girleen, Callen Reese as Coleman Connor, and Jeremy Votava as Valene Connor. Directed by Joe Hilsee.
