Baroque moves

Take a spin back to the 17th and 18th centuries via the Baroque music performed during Chico State’s annual Opera Highlights Concert. Excellent student and faculty singers join the Chico Early Music Ensemble, conducted by David Rothe, in performing operatic scenes from Purcell, Gluck, Mozart, Rameau, Monteverde, Handel, Peri, and lute songs by John Dowland. Délices de la Muse (dancer Louise Pescetta pictured here), a Baroque Dance Ensemble directed by Tang Kao, performs minuets, bourées and so forth. Presented by School of the Arts.
