Art school With spring in full effect and the end of the semester winding down, Chico State is blooming with fresh student artwork. There are four end-of-the-school-year juried group exhibitions on campus right night now. The Janet Turner Print Museum (first floor of Meriam Library) has Ink & Clay, its annual student print and clay exhibition; in the 3rd Floor Art Gallery (in Bell Memorial Union) is the Art Education Show; and the University Art Gallery (100 Trinity Hall) is showing the big 60th Annual Student Art Show, which spills over into another mini-show, The Salon de Refusés (featuring works not chosen for the UAG exhibit), at the Laxson Fine Art Gallery (second floor, Laxson Auditorium).

In anticipation of the group reception at all of the galleries tonight (April 30)—starting with an awards presentation in Rowland-Taylor Recital Hall (PAC 134) at 5 p.m.—I took my own campus art tour, and there was some intriguing and fun work, especially at the UAG. Here’s Arts DEVO’s best of show:
