Art that heals …

The Society of Layerists in Multimedia presents a show of new art from various artists at Chico Art Center, located at 450 Orange St., in Suite 6 of the old train depot building. Entitled Expressions of Creation, the show emphasizes “art as a healing force and instrument of social change,” and considers itself more a “mindset than an art form.” Reception occurs 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Sept. 6; artists discuss their work 7-9pm on Saturday, Sept. 7.
