Dan DeWayne is honored by nonprofit arts organization

Chico impresario Dan DeWayne was honored with a prestigious award during a recent ceremony in New York.

DeWayne (pictured), director of University Public Events and Chico Performances at Chico State, received the Award for Excellence in Presenting the Performing Arts by NAPAMA (North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents).

The nonprofit organization gives the award each year to a distinguished presenter, along with $1,000 toward the recipient’s organization. In addition to his work on campus, DeWayne is known for co-founding many excellent projects, such as the Strawberry Music Festivals and California WorldFest.
