Two in three adults say undocumented workers deserve path to become legal residents
Immigration has become a hot topic during early presidential stumping thanks to controversial statements by candidate Donald Trump. The billionaire businessman thinks undocumented immigrants should be deported. But that view is not in line with the majority of the nation, according to a new national survey. Pollster Gallup reported last week that 65 percent of adults favor a path to citizenship for those living here illegally, while 19 percent of respondents favor deportation and 14 percent favor immigrants remaining here and working for a limited time.
