Alice sans chains …

Oregon-based folkstress Alice Di Micele returns for another local engagement, this time at Moxie’s, 128 Broadway, in downtown Chico. Having opened for such artists as Janis Ian, Ani DiFranco, Steve Winwood, Brooks Williams, Bela Fleck, and Merl Saunders, Di Micele’s chief instrument is her soaring, versatile voice. Critics up and down the Coast have marveled at the ease with which she can slide from blues to scat to funk intonations. Plus, her songwriting chops are pretty solid, too.
