Keene, Aanestad back Oller

Support for Rico Oller to be the Republican candidate to replace the retiring District 4 Rep. John Doolittle is growing, with District 3 Assemblyman Rick Keene, of Chico, being the latest to add his name to the list of Republican lawmakers who endorse the conservative former state senator.

In a press release sent out Monday (Jan. 29), Keene stated that “Rico adheres to and upholds the conservative values that are important to the voters of Northern California,” including lower taxes, limited government, illegal immigration and gun rights.

Oller earlier received the backing of state Sen. Sam Aanestad (R-Grass Valley) and Assemblyman Ted Gaines (R-Roseville).

Doolittle is stepping down under pressure resulting from his association with convicted Washington influence peddler Jack Abramoff. His district is solidly Republican.
