Playwright Sarah Acrich’s A Taste of Hope—A Play in 3 Courses tells the story of seven women from three generations who weave food traditions and fears of war into a simple story of love. Here, the audience will eavesdrop on intimate conversations among these women in an Auschwitz concentration camp occupying themselves by sharing family recipes. The actual food from these recipes will be served to the audience at the intermissions. All proceeds benefit O Allos Anthropos, the Social Kitchen, a charity in Greece. $42; 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, reservations required; Warehouse Artists Lofts, 1108 R Street; www.gofundme.com/tasteofhope.
