Watcher, The
This serial killer film is actually semi-watchable throughout most of its running time, but with this type of film, it’s all about the ending, and this one falls apart in the final minutes. James Spader is good as an FBI agent on the trail of a murderer, played by a capable Keanu Reeves. Reeves actually proves to be quite creepy, but you get the sense that his time on the set was limited (evidenced by the many moments in which Reeves’ character is actually played by a stand-in filmed as a silhouette). Marisa Tomei is OK as Spader’s therapist. Nothing original, but not unwatchable.
